About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Commissioned Financial Advisor to provide expert advice on a range of financial products to an allocated market. The role combines customer service, solution analysis, and business development to drive growth and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality service to customers, identifying opportunities for new business and supporting retention.
• Analyse complex queries and problems to propose technical or professional solutions.
• Receive and assist visitors, directing complex matters to appropriate colleagues.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, schedule follow‑ups, and create call plans to support retention and development activities.
• Clarify customer needs, tailor presentations, and ask probing questions to gauge interest and gather information.
• Develop and implement relationship‑management plans for prospective accounts, building connections with decision‑makers.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory codes, and obtain necessary authorisations for procedural exceptions.
• Monitor sales and market data for a specific geographic region, identifying opportunities for business development.
• Represent the organisation at sector events, gather market intelligence, and enhance brand visibility.
• Conduct research using primary data sources and business‑intelligence tools to analyse trends.
