Clearing Agent – Brakwater (Windhoek)

About the role

The position reports to the Clearing Manager and is based at the Brakwater depot in Windhoek.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure framing, clearing and release of consignments for delivery by customs.
• Screen invoices for correctness and ensure correct commodity and CPC codes are used.
• Complete VAT payment and VOC sheets.
• Complete import and export documentation (SAD500).
• Assist in the verification process.
• Perform any other duties in line with the responsibilities of a Clearing Agent.

Required profile

• Valid Grade 12 qualification (minimum 23 points).
• 2‑5 years’ experience in framing and clearing of customer documents.
• Familiarity with Customs & Excise procedures, classification and import/export requirements.
• Sound knowledge of the Asycuda World system, its rules and regulations.
• Willingness to work irregular night shifts (21:00‑07:00), weekends and rotating shifts.
• Namibian citizenship.
• Police clearance certificate (Code of Conduct) not older than three months.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence is an advantage.
