Chief Executive Officer – Namibia

About the role

Marsh Namibia is looking for a senior leader to serve as Chief Executive Officer. Based in Windhoek with a hybrid work model (minimum three days in the office), the CEO will drive the country’s go‑to‑market strategy, own P&L performance and ensure alignment with regional and global objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, communicate and execute the Marsh Risk Namibia strategy and business plan in line with global and IMEA directives.
• Provide strategic direction, monitor quantitative and qualitative metrics, and report growth plans to senior management.
• Lead product and solution development, translating client risk needs into service offerings.
• Identify new business opportunities, manage client relationships and drive revenue growth through cross‑selling.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to capture market trends, adjust pricing and negotiate strategic partnerships.
• Oversee digital strategy, marketing initiatives and compliance with professional standards.
• Set financial targets, develop budgets, analyse results and ensure cost‑effective performance.
• Build a high‑performance culture, define people strategy with HR, and manage talent acquisition, development and succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Insurance, Law or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of industry or adjacent experience with proven P&L responsibility.
• Executive‑level management experience, including strategy development and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive business penetration.
• Strong financial acumen, analytical skills and sound judgment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building capabilities.
