Audit Manager – Group Internal Audit

About the role

The Audit Manager will support the Group Internal Audit team for the SADC region, focusing on SanlamAllianz Namibia. The role involves developing the annual risk‑based audit plan, conducting Control Adequacy Reviews (CARs) and Control Effectiveness Reviews (CERs), and ensuring internal controls operate effectively across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, review and maintenance of the annual risk‑based audit plan aligned with business priorities.
• Conduct CARs and CERs to identify risks, evaluate controls and recommend improvements.
• Perform audit fieldwork, analyse processes, assess risk exposure and document findings in line with audit standards.
• Prepare clear audit reports, communicate findings to senior management and monitor corrective actions.
• Manage audit engagements, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with internal audit standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of audit experience, preferably in insurance and investment management.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of risk‑based auditing, internal control frameworks and audit methodologies.
• Ability to lead, mentor and develop audit team members.
