Assets and Liabilities Management (ALM) Analyst

About the role

The ALM Analyst will support effective management of the bank’s balance sheet by analysing assets, liabilities and capital structure. You will monitor liquidity, interest‑rate risk and funding strategies, providing data‑driven insights to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of the bank’s balance sheet, including assets, liabilities and capital.
• Monitor and report on liquidity risk, interest‑rate risk and funding positions.
• Support ALCO processes by preparing reports, dashboards and presentations.
• Develop and enhance ALM models, stress‑testing frameworks and forecasting tools.
• Compile ALCO and Board packs and ensure timely delivery.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies and risk exposures.
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk and Treasury teams to align balance‑sheet data.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field (articles preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting and financial management, with 1‑2 years in financial services.
• Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification or progress toward certification.
• Strong understanding of ALM concepts, liquidity risk and interest‑rate risk in a banking environment.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and governance, risk and controls.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SQL or other data‑querying tools.
• Experience with data‑analytics tools such as Power BI.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
