Senior Bookkeeper / Financial Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper / Financial Administrator to manage accounting, credit control, cash handling and financial reporting for our automotive, transport & logistics operations. The role involves close collaboration with the Director and Accountant to ensure accurate financial records and timely invoicing.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping up to trial balance and manage customer accounts, including credit notes and settlement statements.
• Handle petty cash, daily banking, cash‑ups and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with procedures.
• Prepare daily sales turnover reports, monitor gross profit margins and investigate discrepancies.
• Open and manage job cards, issue stock to jobs, create purchase orders and ensure all jobs are invoiced and closed at month‑end.
• Authorise leave applications, maintain attendance registers and provide HR support as needed.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric with relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications.
• 3–5 years of bookkeeping, financial administration or accounting experience, preferably in a depot or workshop environment.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans, valid driver’s licence, reliable transport and passport.
• Willingness to travel within Namibia and potentially elsewhere in Africa.

What we offer

• Salary range R18 000 – R30 000 gross per month
