Integration and Housing Caseworker

About the role

The Integration and Housing Caseworker partners with newly arrived and returning refugees, asylees, SIV holders, parolees, and other eligible populations to build stability, self‑sufficiency, and long‑term community integration. The role combines case management, housing navigation, and coaching to help clients thrive in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop individualized service plans focused on integration, self‑sufficiency, and housing stability.
• Conduct orientations, home visits, and outreach to support client goals.
• Assist clients with applications for public benefits, school enrollment, Social Security, and other essential services.
• Provide coaching to build client confidence and knowledge of U.S. systems.
• Screen clients for housing eligibility, verify documentation, and manage rental, utility, or security‑deposit assistance.
• Create housing stabilization plans, including budgeting, goal setting, and tenant education.
• Engage landlords, property managers, and vendors to expand affordable‑housing options and support lease processes.
• Coordinate utility connections, safety inspections, and procurement of furnishings.
• Support clients in crisis situations such as eviction prevention and mediation with landlords.

Required profile

• Passionate, solutions‑driven individual committed to humanitarian impact.
• Experience or strong interest in working with refugee, asylum‑seeker, or other vulnerable populations.
• Ability to develop personalized service plans and provide clear, empathetic guidance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation and compliance.
