Floor Operations Supervisor – Windhoek Jet.X

About the role

The Floor Operations Supervisor will oversee daily freight handling activities at the Brakwater depot in Windhoek, ensuring efficient loading, unloading and reverse‑logistics processes for FP du Toit Transport Group’s Jet.X courier operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise loading and off‑loading of freight from line‑haul trucks and delivery vehicles.
• Debrief delivery drivers after each route and manage related documentation.
• Investigate and administer claims, including reverse‑logistics handling.
• Lead and coordinate staff, including load supervisors, forklift drivers and freight controllers.
• Maintain up‑to‑date on‑floor reports through daily follow‑ups.
• Oversee daily cleanliness of the floor and ensure a safe working environment.
• Delegate responsibilities and provide support to team members as needed.
• Perform any other duties consistent with the role of a Floor Operations Supervisor.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification with at least 23 points.
• Tertiary qualification in Logistics.
• 3–5 years of applied experience in a logistics environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Initiative, problem‑identification and solving abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime and maintain high integrity.
• Namibian citizenship with a clean criminal record (Police clearance ≤ 3 months).
• Valid driver’s licence is an advantage.
