Fleet Manager – Windhoek

About the role

The Fleet Manager will oversee the depot’s fleet operations in Windhoek, ensuring goods are inspected, loaded, and delivered efficiently while maintaining safety, cost control and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming goods, supervise loading, and ensure items are intact and accounted for.
• Plan, direct, control and monitor the depot’s budget and cost‑control measures.
• Manage daily fleet activities, including trip sheets, manifests and load optimisation.
• Conduct pre‑trip briefings, post‑trip debriefings and capture relevant information.
• Report accidents and injuries promptly and ensure ISO and legal compliance.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and customers, including regular visits.
• Oversee hiring, coaching, training and discipline of warehouse staff.
• Maintain performance metrics, produce daily/weekly/monthly reports and implement improvements.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (minimum 26 points) with a Degree in Transport/Logistics Management.
• At least 10 years of experience in transport/logistics, including 5 years in a managerial role.
• Namibian citizenship, valid driver’s licence and a recent police clearance certificate.
• Ability to work under pressure, over weekends or after hours, with high integrity.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of the Parcel Perfect system (advantage).
