Financial Analyst – Finance Shared Services

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Financial Analyst to support its Finance Shared Services function. This 6‑month remote position will help ensure accurate, timely processing of financial transactions for local IRC offices while complying with IRC policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, review invoices and expense documentation for accuracy, coding, and approvals.
• Support preparation and submission of donor invoices, track receivables, and maintain billing documentation.
• Assist with month‑end close activities, including transaction review, journal entry preparation, and financial data validation.
• Upload and maintain grant and contract budgets in IRC financial systems and verify budget coding.
• Perform daily accounting duties such as transaction processing, account reconciliations, expense coding, and financial data entry.
• Serve as liaison between local offices and HQ finance teams to ensure consistent financial operations.

Required profile

• Experience with accounts payable, expense processing, and month‑end close procedures.
• Familiarity with donor invoicing, grant budgeting, and financial system maintenance.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
• Attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.
