About the role

Metropolitan is looking for a motivated Trainee Financial Advisor to join its team in Oshakati, Namibia. This entry‑level position focuses on building a client base, providing insurance advice, and supporting the company’s growth in the financial services market.

Key responsibilities

• Source, develop, and grow an individual client portfolio through networking, prospecting, and referrals.
• Meet clients in person to deliver tailored insurance advice and solutions.
• Manage and strengthen both internal and external relationships.
• Provide ongoing advice to existing clients to promote retention and increase market share.

Required profile

• Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
• A degree in Marketing, Business Management, or an equivalent field.
• Relevant industry qualifications such as a NAMFISA licence; a COP qualification is an advantage.
• Understanding of the Namibian insurance industry.
• Police certificate of conduct issued within the last year.
