Land Quality & Remediation Senior Consultant

About the role

SLR is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to lead its Land Quality & Remediation practice in Southern Africa. Based in Windhoek, you will work with a multidisciplinary team delivering soil and water services to clients in mining, energy, industry, power and infrastructure sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee land quality and remediation service offerings for regional clients.
• Drive marketing and business development activities across Namibia and Southern Africa.
• Provide strategic and technical consulting advice on contaminated site assessments and remediation projects.
• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering technical expertise and innovation.
• Act as the technical focal point to ensure high‑quality deliverables, including proposals, reports and presentations.
• Manage complex projects, budgets and schedules while conducting detailed QA/QC reviews.
• Ensure compliance with SLR’s health & safety culture and client‑specific safety requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum BSc in Geology, Hydrogeology, Earth Science or related field, plus a postgraduate degree.
• At least 7 years of relevant consulting experience in contaminated land assessment, remediation or environmental risk management.
• Strong communication skills with clients, regulators and subcontractors.
• Proven track record in business development and project leadership.
