Procurement Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Procurement Assistant to support our Sales & Supply Chain Administrator. The role focuses on raising purchase orders, tracking deliveries and maintaining the procurement tracker to ensure projects stay on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Send Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved suppliers, follow up on overdue responses and raise new Purchase Orders as approved.
• Monitor weekly delivery schedules, chase suppliers for on‑site deliveries and flag any at‑risk or delayed deliveries.
• Coordinate with the Stores/Logistics team on upcoming deliveries, receiving arrangements and yard space.
• Update the procurement tracker daily with confirmed delivery dates, ETAs and ensure all PO documents are filed correctly.
• Provide accurate quote cost inputs for proposals within 24 hours of request.
• Maintain PO accuracy with less than 2 % error rate and raise POs within 24 hours of instruction.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics or a related field.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Fluent English; additional fluency in Afrikaans or Oshiwambo is an advantage.
