SSD Custodian – ATM/ADT Device Management

About the role

The SSD Custodian is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of Self Service Devices (ATMs/ADTs) at the Southern Area Office in Mariental. You will ensure devices are loaded, maintained, and available to customers while upholding strict financial and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer service in line with quality standards.
• Comply with statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements.
• Load, maintain and replenish ATM/ADT devices, taking full custodianship of each unit.
• Reduce PULA value of ATM/ADT differences by managing net shortages and surpluses.
• Achieve Balanced Scorecard profit targets for Self Service Devices.
• Control costs within budget, including phone bills, vehicle expenses and overtime.
• Provide first‑line and after‑hours support on a 7‑day standby schedule according to SLA.
• Maintain device uptime of at least 98% as measured by ATM/ADT reports.

Required profile

• Grade 12 qualification.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar cash or ATM custodial environment.
