Senior Teller – Mariental

About the role

The Senior Teller will deliver a unique client experience by handling enquiries, teller transactions and banking requirements while identifying cross‑sell opportunities. The role supports branch objectives and ensures compliance with risk and legislative standards.

Key responsibilities

• Authenticate clients and transactions, preventing fraud and mitigating risk.
• Provide client service, address queries and issue VISA application letters as requested.
• Maintain branch stock, balance cash holdings and secure inventory.
• Support Nedbank culture initiatives, business strategy and corporate social responsibility projects.
• Educate clients on self‑service channels and promote cost‑effective solutions.
• Identify quality sales leads and enable cross‑selling without providing advice.
• Meet individual and branch usage targets and stay current with risk and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or National Senior Certificate; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 6–12 months experience in client service within the financial industry or as a bank teller.
• Knowledge of customer service principles, branch processes, product offerings and corporate governance.
• Understanding of risk, compliance and legislative requirements.
