Senior Production Manager – Hydroponic Blueberries

About the role

Namibia Berries is looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead all farm production activities at its large‑scale hydroponic blueberry operation in Divundu, Kavango East. This hands‑on, data‑driven role offers the chance to shape a high‑growth, ESG‑aligned agribusiness while living in one of Africa’s most spectacular natural environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise the entire production cycle from land preparation and planting to harvest.
• Oversee irrigation, netting, fertigation and post‑harvest infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Lead, coach and schedule field supervisors, permanent staff and seasonal workers.
• Support budgeting, labour allocation and resource planning.
• Utilise digital farm tools, management software and AI‑based systems to monitor block performance and optimise yields.
• Enforce Global GAP, SMETA, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Implement sustainable water‑management and input‑use practices in line with ESG goals.
• Coordinate external suppliers, local service providers and maintenance teams.
• Collaborate closely with agronomy, post‑harvest, ESG and technology teams.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience managing commercial blueberry production.
• Proven leadership ability and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to live on‑site in Divundu.
• Fluent English.
