Security Manager

About the role

Debmarine Namibia is seeking an experienced Security Manager to lead its Security Section. The role focuses on protecting mineral resources, company assets, and fleet operations while ensuring compliance with the Namibian Diamond Act and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the company’s security strategy to safeguard mineral resources and assets.
• Integrate and monitor security systems across the organization, ensuring effectiveness and relevance.
• Gather and analyse national and international intelligence that may impact business operations and report findings to senior management.
• Lead risk‑management projects to expand the scope of security protection.
• Review and adjust security policies, budgeting, and long‑term planning to align with business objectives.
• Audit protection initiatives across all departments and embed security measures into business processes.
• Stay current with security developments and introduce applicable systems to enhance section performance.
• Manage incident investigations, secure evidence, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Supervise and develop sub‑ordinates, setting goals that support departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading security functions within a complex, asset‑intensive environment.
• Strong ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
• In‑depth knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Namibian Diamond Act 13 of 1999.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for reporting to senior management.
