SCADA Operator – Dewatering (B3)

About the role

We are looking for a SCADA Operator (B3) to join the Dewatering Engineering team. The role is based in the Dewatering Central Control Room where you will monitor production data, coordinate staff and equipment, and ensure optimal dewatering performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess real‑time production information from all dewatering sections.
• Coordinate and control dewatering operations, including staff and equipment, to achieve efficiency targets.
• Operate SCADA systems to manage pump stations and related infrastructure.
• Maintain accurate logs and report any deviations to senior engineers.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (or equivalent National Senior Certificate) with at least 20 points, including English.
• Valid Code B manual driver’s licence.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Dewatering Operator, Pump Attendant or Engineering Assistant.
• Previous exposure to process control is an advantage.
• Successful completion of training as a Dewatering Assistant or similar.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating SCADA monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of dewatering processes and pump operation.
• Understanding of process control procedures.
