About the role
We are looking for a meticulous Remote Legal Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to our team. The role involves drafting documents, managing case files, and conducting legal research for matters under US or UK jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents such as motions, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Organise and maintain physical and electronic case files, ensuring accurate archiving.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, or PACER.
- Act as liaison between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Manage legal calendars, scheduling depositions, hearings, and meetings.
- File documents with court systems and government agencies in compliance with legal standards.
- Handle telephone calls, email correspondence, and billing tasks.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or secretary in US or UK law.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a Paralegal Certification.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
