About the role

Mediclinic Otjiwarongo is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care in line with the Scope of Practice. The role involves working on‑site with a multi‑professional team to ensure a positive patient experience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Ensure proper charging of all utilised stock and equipment.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in General Nursing (essential).
• Post‑graduate certificate/diploma in Midwifery or relevant speciality (desired).
• None required experience; 1 year post‑graduate qualification experience preferred for specialised units.

Required skills

• Infection prevention and control.
• Pharmacology.
• Nursing record keeping.
• Patient assessment skills.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Basic life support training (ACLS, ATLS, PALS).
• Risk identification.
