Recoveries, Litigation & Liabilities Negotiator

About the role

The Recoveries, Litigation & Liabilities Negotiator will manage a portfolio of claims with low to moderate loss potential, ensuring objective decision‑making and timely settlements. The role requires close interaction with brokers, clients, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality service and protect the company’s financial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and settle pre‑litigation claims within authorised authority.
• Maintain continuous communication with brokers and clients on claim status and progress.
• Process claim payments and ensure compliance with quality and performance standards.
• Build and sustain positive customer relationships, addressing queries and escalating issues when necessary.
• Identify and report potential fraud or process inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with the Claims team to meet service level agreements.
• Maintain relationships with brokers and uphold company values.
• Perform quality checks on own work and contribute to continuous skill development.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship.
• LLB degree (legal background advantageous).
• 2–3 years experience in a claims environment (preferred).
• Relevant short‑term insurance qualification (e.g., COP) is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with strong numeric and computer literacy.
• Excellent customer service, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• High energy, team player, able to work under pressure and independently.
