Project Financial Accountant

About the role

Zutari is seeking a Project Financial Accountant to manage full‑cycle transaction processing for its engineering projects. The role supports the Finance Team, local office and operational teams by handling billing, creditor and debtor management, journal entries, and cash‑flow activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tax filings (VAT, WHT, PAYE) and reconcile them with the General Ledger.
• Reconcile General Ledger accounts, ensuring all reconciling items are documented and cleared within three months.
• Process AP invoices, coding them to the appropriate project, phase and task accounts.
• Execute monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, and petty‑cash reconciliations.
• Forecast cash flow and collect information from the Country Manager to determine cash requirements.
• Support payroll functions, including timesheet processing, cash‑advance claims and expense reimbursements.
• Maintain accurate records for statutory and regulatory payments.
