Program Manager – Namibia

About the role

The Program Manager will lead Project HOPE’s operations in Namibia, overseeing donor‑funded projects, sub‑awards and day‑to‑day programme delivery. Reporting to the Sr. Regional Director, Africa, the role ensures alignment with headquarters, the Africa Regional Team and local partners while strengthening the organisation’s presence in the country.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all Project HOPE sub‑awards in Namibia, ensuring deliverables meet timelines and contractual terms.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for operational and coordination matters between the Africa Regional Team, Project HOPE US headquarters and the prime partner (Project HOPE Namibia).
• Work closely with Monitoring & Evaluation advisors and staff to collect, review and report programme data, producing quarterly, semi‑annual and annual reports for the prime partner.
• Maintain accurate documentation, archiving reports and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
• Liaise with headquarters departments to integrate programme activities and support new business development initiatives.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the implementation of country programmes, including registration, administration and governance matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing donor‑funded health or development programmes.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills across international and local teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to produce high‑quality reports and maintain rigorous documentation.
• Leadership capability to guide programme staff and ensure operational effectiveness.
