Part-Time Technical Specialist (Techxpert)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Technical Specialist (Techxpert) to support our maintenance systems and technical processes across Pepkor Lifestyle stores. The successful candidate will help improve productivity and ensure our technical infrastructure runs efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair IT hardware components used in retail environments.
• Perform software installations and updates on store devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware and network issues to minimise downtime.
• Support internal and external networking, ensuring connectivity across branches.
• Document technical procedures and adhere to company policies and standards.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• COMPTIA A+ certification (Essentials and Core).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage stress and resolve conflicts.
• Customer‑centric attitude with a focus on accuracy and integrity.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of IT hardware components and repair.
• Experience with software installations.
• Basic networking systems knowledge (advantageous).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
