Metallurgy Operator Cat 3 – OreX Plant

About the role

Control and supervise the Metallurgical Treatment or Recovery Plant section to ensure efficient throughput and minimise delays and losses.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain maximum efficient throughput of the plant.
• Minimise operational delays and material losses.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent National Senior Certificate (20 points over 5 subjects with at least E in English, Mathematics & Science).
• Code 08/B manual transmission driver’s licence.
• Qualified Category 3 Operator with completed CAT 3 training.
• One year plant experience as a Category 2 Operator.
• Attendance of DebTech X‑Ray machine training is an advantage.
• Acting Process Controller experience is an advantage.
• Excellent safety awareness and good track record.

Required skills

• Operation of scrubber/crushing equipment and other plant processes.
• Manual transmission vehicle operation.
• Use of DebTech X‑Ray equipment.
