Junior Procurement & Logistics Clerk

About the role

Deep Catch Namibia is looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Procurement & Logistics Clerk to support the efficient execution of procurement, shipping and logistics operations. You will coordinate shipments, manage import documentation, monitor progress and liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Verify supplier documentation and approve it before shipment.
• Prepare, process and maintain shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin and import permits.
• Track shipments, update container records and escalate any delays or discrepancies.
• Apply for and manage Meat Board permits, liaise with veterinary offices for replacements.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers, clearing agents and internal teams, ensuring clear communication of schedules and requirements.
• Identify and suggest improvements to shipping, logistics and documentation processes.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• 2‑3 years experience in procurement, shipping, logistics or a related administrative role.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to detail, organisational and time‑management abilities.
