Head of Academic Affairs

About the role

The Head of Academic Affairs will lead the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of all academic programmes at Global Edge Training Institute. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that teaching and learning activities meet institutional goals, accreditation standards and quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee programme delivery, facilitator coordination and assessment planning.
• Ensure academic quality, compliance with accreditation requirements and institutional policies.
• Develop and update academic policies, contribute to strategic planning and forge academic partnerships.
• Provide learner support services and monitor student progress.
• Lead curriculum design, programme evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Education, Training, Academic Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in senior academic leadership, curriculum design and programme evaluation.
• Strong leadership, organisational and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Namibian education policies and accreditation processes is an advantage.
