Front Desk Receptionist – Boutique Hotel

About the role

The Receptionist position is a full‑time, on‑site role at Gracious Whisp Boutique Hotel in Windhoek. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handling arrivals, departures and a wide range of enquiries both in person and via phone or email.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage the check‑in and check‑out processes.
• Handle room reservations, maintain accurate guest records and process payments.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Keep the front‑desk area tidy, professional and well‑stocked.
• Provide local information, recommendations and assistance to guests.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and courteously.
• Support administrative and clerical tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience in front‑desk or receptionist duties, preferably in hospitality.
• Professional phone etiquette and ability to manage multiple calls calmly.
• Clerical competence – data entry, record keeping and basic office administration.
• Reliable, organized, detail‑oriented and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
