Field Services Specialist Intern – Emerging Talent (Namibia)

About the role

The Emerging Talent Field Services Specialist Internship offers recent Mechanical Engineering graduates the chance to gain hands‑on experience in a global energy company. You will work on real projects, learn internal software, and support oilfield equipment servicing while being mentored by experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Execute internal projects that deliver customer outcomes and identify business improvements.
• Learn and use Baker Hughes software tools to complete tasks and report results.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and other interns, interacting with global business leaders.
• Apply Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards to ensure compliance in all activities.
• Assist with mechanical maintenance and servicing of oilfield equipment.

Required profile

• Graduated within the last 2 years with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical school).
• GPA of at least 3.0/5.0 or equivalent.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Legally able to work in Namibia without sponsorship.
• Proactive, innovative, and comfortable working in challenging field environments.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and industrial machinery.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks (advantage).
