Direct Channel Agent (Temporary)

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a motivated Direct Channel Agent on a temporary basis to support its insurance sales operations in Namibia. You will be the first point of contact for customers generated through marketing campaigns, helping them obtain quotes and re‑activate cancelled policies.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls and emails requesting insurance quotes.
• Follow up on current policy cancellations and re‑quote where appropriate.
• Re‑approach previously cancelled policies and generate new business from intra‑group referrals.
• Log all customer interactions, track issue resolution steps, and escalate complex queries.
• Maintain accurate records of customer communications and ensure service delivery standards are met.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship and NQF Level 7 tertiary qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Strong ability to work independently, under pressure, and deliver excellent customer service.
• Previous experience in a call‑centre environment or activation projects is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Computer literacy and general office systems knowledge.
• Database administration basics.
• Desktop publishing capabilities.
• Basic network administration understanding.
