Commercial Client Portfolio Manager

About the role

The Commercial Client Portfolio Manager will lead a defined portfolio of banking clients, proactively identifying opportunities, acquiring new business and delivering tailored financial solutions. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, asset and liability expansion while ensuring high‑quality client service and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a defined portfolio of client relationships within the Banking sub‑segment.
• Identify lending opportunities and support credit solutions aligned to client needs to drive asset growth.
• Acquire new clients, retain existing ones and increase product utilisation to drive liability growth.
• Execute relationship‑management strategies, translate them into actionable engagement plans and monitor portfolio performance.
• Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities to maximise portfolio value and profitability.
• Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Product and Operations teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
• Oversee client onboarding, servicing and retention activities and resolve escalated issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk frameworks.
• Prepare performance reports and contribute to continuous improvement of portfolio management processes.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related discipline (post‑graduate qualification advantageous).
• 4–6 years of experience in banking, relationship management, sales or portfolio management, including 2–3 years at a junior management level.
