About the role
The Building Company is seeking a proactive Buyer to manage purchasing and replenishment for its Namibia trading distribution operations. You will ensure approved suppliers are used, stock levels are maintained, and stock‑outs are minimised.
Key responsibilities
- Purchase products and manage buy‑outs in line with company policies.
- Monitor and address out‑of‑stock and low‑stock situations.
- Handle administrative tasks related to supplier orders and documentation.
- Follow up with the supplier chain to ensure timely deliveries.
- Coach and support internal teams on stock management processes.
- Coordinate relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Promote and uphold company values and culture throughout procurement activities.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification (essential).
- Relevant post‑school qualification (NQF5) with a retail or procurement focus (desirable).
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role within a computerised retail environment.
