Associate Director, Information Security & Systems

About the role

The Information Security and Systems Lead (Associate Director) will steer the strategy, implementation and governance of enterprise systems and information security across idinsight’s globally distributed teams. Reporting to the executive team, you will oversee a small group of specialists, external partners and fractional resources to ensure robust, compliant and efficient technology foundations that enable social impact.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own a multi‑year enterprise systems strategy, prioritising CRMs, ERPs and related platforms for a remote‑first organisation.
• Lead selection, architecture, integration and master data modelling of new enterprise systems.
• Manage external implementation and support partners, including contracting, scope definition and delivery accountability.
• Own annual budgeting and financial planning for organisational systems, balancing non‑profit constraints.
• Champion change management and adoption across regions to drive behavioural change and reduce shadow IT.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the technology estate, ensuring reliable operation across time zones.
• Define and execute the information security strategy aligned with recognised frameworks and organisational goals.
• Implement security and privacy controls required by regulations, client obligations and risk assessments.
• Coordinate the Information Security Steering Committee and contribute to enterprise risk management.
• Develop and lead incident response planning, and coordinate actions during security events.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading both security and enterprise systems programmes in a global, multi‑regional organisation.
• Comfortable acting as the most senior technical voice while collaborating with executive leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage small teams, external partners and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience with budgeting, change management and governance in a non‑profit context.
