Trainee Broker Consultant

About the role

The Trainee Broker Consultant will support Old Mutual’s broker network across Namibia, helping to grow sales and maintain strong relationships with contracted brokers. This entry‑level position combines market analysis, product promotion and client service to drive profitable portfolio growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales, marketing and support plans for brokers.
• Build and maintain sustainable relationships with all contracted brokers in the assigned portfolio.
• Analyse product mix trends and adjust strategies to ensure profitable growth.
• Research market trends and propose relevant growth strategies.
• Respond to broker quotation requests and adapt existing business proposals.
• Support brokers on product knowledge and marketing needs.
• Meet annual new business targets for the broker distribution business.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship and a valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum Grade 12 qualification; a diploma or degree (NQF level 7) in marketing, sales or finance.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Excellent client‑care orientation and communication skills.
• Fluent in English and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Proven sales or third‑party sales record is an advantage.
