Store Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Store Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of the tyre store in Windhoek, ensuring that inventory is received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Reporting to the branch manager, the role is critical for maintaining stock integrity and supporting the sales and service teams.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming tyre shipments, verify quantities, sizes, order numbers and accompanying documentation.
• Notify management of short deliveries, register discrepancies on invoices and resolve variances promptly.
• Store tyres neatly, maintain organized shelving, and ensure special orders are correctly labelled with customer and invoice details.
• Perform daily stock counts, update stock sheets and computer inventory system, and hand over records to the branch manager.
• Release stock only on authorized requests, manage re‑threading and ensure tyres are dispatched with correct markings on both sides.
• Maintain master control books, compare factory invoices with received tyres, and flag any incorrect deliveries.
• Oversee general administration including handling of second‑hand and scrap tyres according to customer and manager approvals.
• Communicate regularly with suppliers to confirm orders, avoid back‑orders and ensure satisfaction with processes.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and documentation.
• Ability to follow established procedures and resolve stock variances quickly.
• Good communication skills for interaction with suppliers, internal teams and management.
• Organised and capable of managing multiple stock‑related tasks simultaneously.

• Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory tracking.
