Store Manager

About the role

The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring that sales, expense, and profit targets are achieved in line with company policy. This role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and a focus on delivering excellent customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage monthly gross profit and turnover targets, preparing and monitoring budgets for turnover, expenses, and salaries.
• Maintain operational expense budgets, ensuring controllable costs align with sales performance.
• Oversee merchandise and stock management, guaranteeing full product range availability, optimal display, and alignment with sales trends.
• Conduct daily shrinkage audits, manage high‑risk stock, and implement loss‑prevention procedures.
• Plan and execute sales promotions, coordinate with suppliers, and adjust pricing in response to market competition.
• Ensure staff are trained in customer service and product knowledge, handling complaints promptly and courteously.
• Enforce company policies, labor regulations, and equitable treatment of all team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a retail store or similar environment.
• Demonstrated ability to meet sales, profit, and expense targets.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, stock control, loss‑prevention, and promotion execution.
• Excellent understanding of customer service standards and policy compliance.
