Store Man – Workshop (Walvis Bay)

About the role

The Store Man will support the Assistant Foreman in the workshop by managing parts stock, equipment, and related store activities. This role is essential for keeping the workshop supplied and operating safely.

Key responsibilities

• Receive stock and parts, and pack them onto shelves.
• Conduct stock control, including random and periodic checks.
• Issue stock, oil, and consumables to technicians.
• Issue and control special tools and fire extinguishers.
• Maintain a clean and orderly store environment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Perform any additional duties as requested by the workshop team.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with Grade 12 qualification.
• 3‑5 years experience as a storeman or similar role.
• Excellent knowledge of parts, equipment, and special tools.
• Familiarity with Health & Safety laws.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under pressure.
• Recent police clearance (not older than 3 months).
