Senior Personal Lines Claims Negotiator

About the role

The Senior Personal Lines Claims Negotiator will handle a variety of insurance coverages with defined loss potential, reviewing and processing low to moderate value claims. The role involves objective decision‑making, initiating investigations, and negotiating settlements within authorised authority.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end negotiation and settlement of motor claims pre‑litigation.
• Continuous engagement with brokers and clients regarding claim status and progress.
• Processing, authorising and paying claim settlements.
• Authorising referrals to adjusters, attorneys or subject‑matter experts.
• Ensuring quality service delivery and customer satisfaction in line with performance standards.
• Identifying and reporting process issues to minimise fraud and collaborating with the claims team to meet service levels.

Required profile

• Namibian citizenship with Grade 12 (minimum 25 points); tertiary qualification is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of insurance experience, preferably in short‑term claims.
• Detail‑oriented, high energy, able to work under pressure and independently.
• Excellent customer service, problem‑solving and communication skills in Afrikaans and English.
