About the role

The Senior Legal Manager provides comprehensive legal support to a banking institution, advising on transactions, risk management, and regulatory compliance. This senior position works closely with the Board and Executive Management to mitigate legal risk across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver transaction advisory services, including deal appraisal, loan structuring, and contract drafting and review.
• Oversee legal aspects of credit risk management and business rescue initiatives.
• Lead debt‑collection and litigation matters on behalf of the bank.
• Advise the Board and senior executives on legal and regulatory enterprise‑risk issues to ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Senior‑level legal professional with extensive experience in banking or financial services.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and provide strategic legal advice.
