Security Officer – CCTV Monitoring

About the role

The Security Officer – CCTV is responsible for real‑time monitoring of CCTV systems at Namport and coordinating response actions. The role reports directly to the Senior Security Officer: CCTV.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV systems and conduct real‑time surveillance operations, identifying suspicious movements of staff, contractors and visitors.
• Perform daily system checks, maintain operational and downtime records, and report faults for timely resolution.
• Support emergency response, including hazardous substance incidents, first aid, evacuation and control‑room duties.
• Conduct initial investigations of system‑related incidents and escalate as needed.

Required profile

• National Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Security Management, Policing, Criminal Justice or related field.
• At least three years’ experience in corporate security, with a minimum of one year in CCTV monitoring or control‑room operations.
• Valid Code B driver’s licence and high integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
