Sales Manager (Retail)

About the role

The Sales Manager will lead a retail store to deliver an ultimate shopping experience. By combining strong leadership with effective execution of sales, merchandising and customer‑experience initiatives, the role aims to maximise profitability and drive a customer‑centric environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team to provide prompt, courteous service and resolve customer queries or complaints efficiently.
• Implement and monitor customer‑experience initiatives, ensuring associates follow company standards for appearance and product knowledge.
• Manage inventory by coordinating with the category team, monitoring stock levels, processing repairs/returns, and analysing SAP CAR reports to improve store performance.
• Oversee merchandising and visual standards, including signage, displays, price labeling, and seasonal promotions.
• Collaborate with distribution and merchandise teams to replenish stock and maintain space‑planning accuracy.
• Apply loss‑prevention policies, secure merchandise, and address aged or obsolete stock according to procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail sales leadership with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret inventory and sales data and develop action plans.
• Excellent communication skills to coach and motivate store associates.
• Ability to enforce company policies, visual standards and loss‑prevention measures.
