Sales Executive – Advertising Media Sales

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Executive to drive revenue for our outdoor advertising portfolio. The role involves selling a range of media formats, advising clients on creative aspects, and building lasting business relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Sell all available media types, providing guidance on layout, wording, colours and overall advertising strategy.
• Handle inbound calls and appointments professionally, delivering superior customer service.
• Prepare contracts and complete related administrative tasks promptly.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets, contributing to departmental revenue goals.
• Maintain signage condition and report any maintenance, accidents or construction issues to operations.
• Identify new business opportunities through cold‑calling and prospecting.
• Follow up on renewals, pending deals and existing client accounts, offering after‑sales support.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently.
• Participate in weekly sales meetings, workshops and company events outside regular hours.
• Stay informed on product knowledge, competitors and trends in the outdoor advertising industry.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• 3–5 years of sales experience, preferably within the advertising sector.
• Experience in business‑to‑business sales and client liaison is an advantage.
• Valid unendorsed driver’s licence (Code BE) and own vehicle preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good administrative abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a competitive environment.
• Resilient and team‑oriented mindset.
