Risk & Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Risk & Compliance Analyst will support the implementation and operation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework at Methealth Namibia Administrators. You will identify, assess and monitor operational, financial, compliance, legal and reputational risks, ensuring alignment with the Financial Institutions and Markets Act (FIMA) and Namibian regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk identification workshops with business units and assess operational, financial, compliance, legal and reputational risks.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, scenario analyses and maintain enterprise risk registers and risk profiles.
• Monitor key risk indicators, emerging risks and trends, and escalate significant risks to senior management.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, heat maps and management reports for EXCO and governance committees.
• Collaborate with units to develop and monitor risk mitigation strategies, remedial action plans and internal controls.
• Conduct control monitoring reviews, deep‑dive assessments and follow‑up reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, compliance, audit, legal or related field (NQF Level 8 or equivalent).
• 3–5 years’ experience in enterprise risk management, compliance or a related field, preferably in financial services or medical aid administration.
• Practical experience with risk management frameworks, tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of NAMFISA and other Namibian regulatory requirements.
• Experience preparing risk, compliance or legal reports for management and governance committees.
• Valid driver’s licence.
