Procurement Officer – C4

About the role

The Procurement Officer – C4 will lead the organisation’s procurement function, overseeing the end‑to‑end sourcing process for goods and services across the group. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures cost‑effective contracts, strong supplier relationships and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies and procedures aligned with corporate objectives.
• Manage the full procurement cycle: sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and secure timely delivery.
• Lead supplier evaluation, onboarding and ongoing assessment against quality, sustainability and safety criteria.
• Negotiate favourable terms, pricing and delivery schedules while maintaining strong supplier partnerships.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee the procurement budget, monitor costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes and best practices in the mining logistics sector.
• Prepare monthly progress reports for the CFO and handle ad‑hoc tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, business administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably within logistics or mining.
• Proven track record in developing and executing procurement strategies and policies.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain principles and relevant legislation.
• Experience using procurement software and systems.
