OTR Workshop Foreman – Rosh Pinah

About the role

The OTR Workshop Foreman will oversee all workshop activities at the Rosh Pinah site, ensuring high‑quality tyre fitting and maintenance services for customers. The role combines hands‑on technical work with supervisory duties, safety management, and administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and direct personnel to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance efficiently, safely and cost‑effectively.
• Perform administrative duties such as tyre change slips, timesheets and safety documentation.
• Assist the Site Supervisor with safety files, equipment calibration, stock counts and data accuracy.
• Inspect components, decide on repair, scrap or service, and maintain tyre operating pressures.
• Ensure hygiene standards in workshop and office facilities and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Assess sub‑ordinates’ competence and identify training gaps.

Required profile

• Grade 12 National Certificate.
• Valid Namibian light vehicle driver’s licence (Code B or BE).
• Three years of earth‑mover tyre fitting experience.
• Good communication, customer service and supervisory abilities.
• Physical fitness for extended hours and ability to work safely with machinery.

Required skills

• Tyre fitting and tyre repair/maintenance.
• Equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Stock management and regular stock counts.
• Forklift operation.
• Vehicle pre‑start checks.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
