OTR Tyre Serviceman / Operator – Rosh Pinah, Namibia

About the role

The Tyre Serviceman/Operator will work on‑site at the Rosh Pinah location, providing tyre fitting, repair and maintenance services for a variety of vehicles. The role requires strict adherence to Bridgestone and client safety and quality procedures while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Fit, remove, mount and strip tyres and rim assemblies on all vehicle types according to established procedures.
• Perform tyre and tube repairs, clean, paint and crack‑test rim components, and maintain correct tyre pressures.
• Conduct equipment checks, calibrations and routine maintenance on tyre handling tools, forklifts and tyre handlers.
• Accurately record tyre changes and related information, forwarding reports as required.
• Comply with all Quality Tyres Namibia, Bridgestone, and client policies, procedures and safety instructions.
• Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments and emergency evacuation drills, reporting hazards and incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Valid Namibia Code B or BE light‑vehicle driver’s licence.
• Grade 12 National Certificate (minimum education requirement).
• Preferred: at least two years of OTR tyre fitting experience.
• Will report to the Site Supervisor and work under supervision.

Required skills

• OTR tyre fitting and removal techniques.
• Operation of forklifts and tyre handling equipment.
• Equipment calibration and routine checks.
• Tyre repair, rim cleaning, painting and crack testing.
• Adherence to safety procedures, lock‑out/tag‑out and PPE usage.
