National Flatbed/Interlink Driver – Walvis Bay

About the role

Wesbank Transport is seeking a reliable National Flatbed/Interlink Driver to operate from its Walvis Bay depot. The role involves transporting loads across Namibia, ensuring timely deliveries and proper documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Transport and deliver loads to various customers throughout Namibia, completing all required paperwork.
• Record distance travelled, fuel consumption, waybill numbers and cargo details on the trip sheet.
• Complete the MDC logbook and attach all receipts.
• Load and unload cargo, conduct pre‑trip vehicle inspections, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
• Handle breakdown situations by applying basic technical knowledge of the truck.
• Maintain correct documentation before departure and upon return.

Required profile

• Namibian citizen with a valid Code CE driver’s licence and PDP (Dangerous Goods) certification.
• Grade 12 education and at least 5 years of relevant transport experience.
• Recent police clearance (no older than 3 months) and no criminal record.
• Hazchem certification (advantageous).
• Excellent driving, interpersonal and communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to drive long distances, work long hours when required, and maintain sober habits.
• High attention to detail, self‑discipline and reliability.
