Mechanical Engineer

About the role

CONDENA, the Namibian sister company of the Condeza group, is expanding its engineering team in Windhoek. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to drive the design, development, and industrialisation of our mechanical products and manufacturing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies and complete products.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, detailed technical drawings and bills of materials.
• Engineer enclosures, racks, cable‑management systems and related electronic hardware.
• Collaborate closely with electrical/electronics engineers and production teams.
• Prepare designs for manufacturing, select appropriate materials and processes, and support prototyping and testing.
• Work with local and international suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Assist with quality documentation, engineering change management and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Practical experience in mechanical product development and engineering.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Analytical, solution‑oriented and comfortable working hands‑on with production.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Solid Edge.
• Strong 3D CAD modelling and technical drawing skills.
• Knowledge of tolerances, BOM creation and mechanical design principles.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Experience with prototyping, testing and product optimisation.
