Managing Director – Namibia

About the role

The Managing Director leads TotalEnergies Marketing Namibia, ensuring compliance with a highly regulated petroleum environment while driving business growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary representative to ministries, regulatory authorities, clients, banks, suppliers, embassies and other key stakeholders.
• Provide visible leadership on Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), chair the Affiliate HSE Committee and lead crisis and emergency response teams.
• Define and implement the business and investment strategy in line with Group objectives, delivering budget targets and identifying new growth opportunities.
• Oversee performance management, talent development, coaching and succession planning for all employees.
• Ensure robust internal control frameworks, approve investments according to delegation authority and maintain financial discipline across the affiliate.
• Maintain effective commercial relationships with General Trade customers, dealers and resellers, protecting and enhancing the company’s reputation.

Required profile

• Extensive senior leadership experience in the petroleum or energy sector, preferably within a regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to engage proactively with government bodies, regulators and diverse external stakeholders.
• Strong commitment to HSE standards and a proven track record of leading safety culture initiatives.
• Solid financial acumen with experience overseeing budgets, internal controls and risk management.
• Excellent governance, ethics and compliance orientation, aligned with Group policies and local laws.
