Manager Strategic Research & Analytics

About the role

The Namibia Tourism Board seeks a Manager Strategic Research & Analytics to monitor tourism’s economic impact, analyse market trends and provide data‑driven insights that support strategic decision‑making for the sector.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse tourism’s economic impact and market trends to provide insights for strategic decision‑making.
• Design, coordinate and deliver research projects, economic forecasts and thematic studies aligned with NTB’s objectives.
• Manage the collection, validation, analysis and dissemination of tourism data, ensuring high‑quality reports and presentations.
• Engage with data providers, research organisations and stakeholders, facilitating workshops, consultations and effective communication of findings.
• Oversee administrative tasks that support the research department’s efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification (NQF Level 7 or higher) in Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality or a research‑related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in research, statistics or data analysis, preferably within the tourism sector.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when required, and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and quantitative skills for data interpretation and economic forecasting.
• Proficiency in research design, data validation and report writing.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
